DIY Ideas

There is no better way to save money on a wedding than with a little DIY. I’m going to post a few ways that you can use DIY for your wedding they are quick and simple and you can make them all your own.

One of the ways that you could save money on a wedding is by printing your own invitations. You could go to any art store or paper store such as Michael’s, Pearl Paint, or AC Moore, pick out your own color coordinated invitations and paper type. The fun part about making your own invitations is that you can make them as big or small as you want and you can design them any way you want the fraction of the cost of a getting them made. If the process of picking out your own invitations seem a little too challenging, I know for me I would go crazy trying to mix and match and finding the right size for the envelopes and or design that I want, you could get invitation kits. Now these kits come with everything under the sun including instructions if they have little monograms tabs to stick on the invitations. They usually include 50 invitations with matching envelopes, and response cards also with the matching envelopes. They are always really simple and beautiful designs and it’s not only a money saver but also a time saver all you do is print your wedding details on them. You can also use the same idea to print your menu’s and ceremony programs.

Another way that you could save money is by making your own centerpieces now I know you’re probably looking at the screen like what! but seriously! you can. Centerpieces can be simple and very elegant, you can have a small flower or candle arrangement or you can have something large and extravagant without spending too much. You could order the glass vases, flowers, even the candles or anything else that you are thinking about using for your centerpiece online in bulk. Not only is it a great way to save some money but you wouldn’t have to stick to a certain theme or color scheme. You can mix and match without having to sacrifice cost or your unique vision.

Another simple DIY is your wedding table numbers. You can do simple printed numbers of all kinds or something completely different such a simple door number in a frame as in the picture below.

There are many ways that you can use DIY for a wedding all you really need is a simple design and a little time.
