My wedding dress dream: a knock off from China
With less than three months to go until my wedding, I feel surprisingly calm and collected. Everything is pretty much under control. There are just a few, quite major things to iron out, but it’s almost a wrap.
I know that I’m not as cool, chilled, calm and collected as I keep telling myself though – and it’s through my dreams. The other night I dreamt that I popped on my wedding dress on the morning of my wedding, and as I was walking along, I realised that it wasn’t that nice. The next morning I had a little giggle to myself, and soon forgot about it.
Until the other night, when I had another dream about putting on my bridal gown. This time it was ordered over the internet from China.
I know where the inspiration for this dream came from – I was planning on buying my dress over the internet, and mid-search, my colleagues sent me an article about brides who’d bought their wedding dress on the net, only to discover it was miles away from the picture promise.
The dress I had on didn’t fit me, was light blue, and disgusting.
I can only hope that my actual dress is none of the above – and no, my wedding dress isn’t my ‘something blue’.
I have my dress fitting approaching, so I imagine the nerves for that are building up. Plus, I’m on the hunt for my wedding shoes, which is no small feat. (No pun intended.) I want very pretty shoes for a special day but without spending loads of money. It seems that this is actually asking a lot. Wish me luck!
