Beautiful flats for your wedding day

Now you all know how I love my heels! For me there’s nothing more stylish than a pair of diamond peep-toe stilettos to complement a beautiful bridal gown! But while window-shopping last week, some flat wedding shoes caught my eye. I fell in love with a pair of studded ivory ballerinas – bang on trend at the moment! Here are a few other little numbers I liked.

Kitten heels still count as flats in my book!

From bling to boho

If you love a bit of bling like me, then why not choose a pair of open-toed diamond flats? A mix of comfort and timeless elegance!

For a more vintage look, pick up a pair of lace-embroidered ballerinas. These are available in a variety of colours to match your dress trim or even your bouquet.

You can also go for some strappy sandals like Fearne Cotton did on her big day. Apart from showcasing a tattoo on her right ankle, Fearne’s gorgeous sandals added the perfect boho-chic touch to her wedding outfit.

You can wear something like this but with no heel!

Another look I like is the strappy, ankle-cuff sandal. These are easy to wear and would look great with a flowing, white tulle bridal gown.

And what about Havaianas? Yes, I know these are usually worn at the beach, but check out the cool range on offer at Glass Slippers Swarovski. You could buy a couple of pairs, one for the ceremony and another for the reception!

Just a hint of a heel

If you don’t want to wear a totally flat shoe to walk down that aisle, then don’t despair! There is a wide of choice of wedding shoes with kitten heels which give you just a bit of a lift. Remember how Audrey Hepburn rocked her round-toe courts and kitten heels? A great look!

Some pretty satin or lace shoes with a hint of a heel would go well with a fitted gown. Or you could glitz them up a bit with diamond clips.

Flat wedding shoes can be just as chic and beautiful as heels! After seeing my sister wear flats at her wedding and all the beautiful ones I saw last week, I’ve definitely been converted!
