Your dream wedding shoes at Debenhams
Being a bit of an expert on finding the right shoes for the right occasion, I tend to look for wedding shoes in specialist shops, shunning the big department stores. But browsing in Debenhams last week, I noticed they had a wide variety of bridal footwear, ranging from peeptoes with kitten heels to shoes with wedges!
Here are some of my favourites!
Ivory slippers or crystal courts?
Your choice of shoes is dictated by the style and colour of your wedding dress, as well as by your desire for glamour or comfort! After ten minutes in Debenhams, I fell in love with a pair of ivory silk peeptoe slipper shoes – easy to wear, but incredibly elegant. They would look great with an ivory mid-length wedding gown. There were also some silver strappy, open-toe sandals, just like those the presenter Fearne Cotton wore for her wedding to Jesse Wood.
But if you are looking for something a bit glitzier and your wedding gown is long and flowing, then why not pick up a pair of crystal encrusted round toe platform shoes?
If you’re in charge of shopping for shoes for yourself and your bridesmaids, I saw a satin luxe platform peeptoe shoe which comes in silver or blush pink. Attractively priced, these shoes would fit the bill!
Diamante trim stilettos
What girl doesn’t love a pair of stilettos? They’re not the most comfortable footwear for a long day, but they certainly make a statement! I saw a lovely ivory satin pair with a diamante trim in Debenhams – to die for!
And you could always consider wearing the killer heels for your wedding ceremony, then change into glamorous sling back shoes for the reception.
So whatever your personality and pocket, Debenhams is worth a visit when you’re looking for wedding shoes!
