Body language with Ronald Joyce
After looking at hundreds of wedding dresses over the years, I have come to the conclusion that even the tiniest of details can make the dress. Whether it’s exquisitely embroidered fine lace, sparkling encrusted accents or a peekaboo back, it’s the small details that can create the biggest drama. Such dramatic details are synonymous with Ronald Joyce wedding dresses. Established in the 1950s, Ronald Joyce is today renowned for its couture bridal designs spearheaded by their Italian-born head designer, Veni Infantino. Her 2014 collection is a showcase of timeless styles with painstaking attention to detail.
Veni Infantino’s signature style is elegant, feminine and classic, with a strong focus on a perfectly structured woman’s bodice. Her wedding dresses hug a woman in all the right places and integrate modern materials with gorgeous embellishments. The latest collection is a virtual salute to the woman’s figure, with flattering designs featuring beautiful mermaid silhouettes, sheath dresses and striking, ball gown ‘princess’ styles.
Latest collection picks
My top choices from Ronald Joyce’s latest collection are reminiscent of Grace Kelly‘s immortally sophisticated wedding gown that featured a high V-neck and an intricate, rose point lace bodice and long sleeves. Of course, this traditional and covered-up design can still be reincarnated in modern styles, such as in the ‘Bergenia 67076’ dress. This is a beautiful tulle creation integrating the Kelly-esque lacy three-fourths sleeves. The ‘Buffy 67061’ works the tulle and satin into the long-sleeved looked as well.
Though fishtail silhouettes don’t flatter my own figure, I think lucky brides who want to show off their hourglass shapes will look stunning in ‘Bliss 67052’, a standout lace and satin mermaid design featuring a sexy sweetheart neckline, embellished with embroidery and pearl details.
With such stunning attention to detail and structure, Ronald Joyce designs will take you from the wedding aisle to the royal ballroom in your imagination!
