Beaches Turks and Caicos
I am just back from one of the most beautiful settings in the world, Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean. My 7 year old and I needed a bit of quality time and were kindly invited on a mummy blogger trip with some other lovely mummy bloggers and jumped at the chance.
I have been to various locations in the Caribbean and can honestly say when I meditate thats where I take my mind to, the most beautiful white sands and crystal clear seas, its paradise. And Turks and Caicos was no different, its beyond beautiful to the eye, the weather is always incredible but oh my gosh this resort has the X factor though.
We flew direct to Providenciales with an in flight drop off in Antigua and came back via Miami with American Airlines. When we arrived at the airport the resorts drivers were ready and waiting to take us back to the resort in style. We arrived to Beaches with their typically warm greeting of fresh towels and fruit punch on arrival, bliss.
After checking in we were taken to our suite in the Caribbean village and as always Beaches know exactly what they are doing, you arrive to a lovely air conditioned room, the bar is fully stocked and most importantly all inclusive! And its the small details that I love, these are the things you notice when you travel alot; full sized toiletries so you don’t need to bring them, a coffee machine with coffee and cream restocked daily, TV’s in both rooms that are easy to use and with kids channels, great sized balconies and plenty of chilled water. We opted for the premium wifi which meant I was constantly connected to my Instagram and outside world just like I was at home.
Fleur is only 7 and it was so lovely to get some quality time together, obviously we did stuff with the group but its so nice to also feel completely comfortable eating on your own in a resort because the atmosphere and staff just make you feel so at home.
Apart from the fact that the setting and grounds are so picturesque, the weather is pretty much always guaranteed, the food is incredible and the staff are also so helpful. There’s so much to see and do in Turks and Caicos as its a massive 75 acre resort which is awesome because even in peak season it doesn’t feel like it completely full or too busy to get a table or bed by the pool as the resort is so vast with 19 restaurants, 6 pools (3 with swim up bars) and even dedicated toddler pools.
There’s a spa, a supervised kids club, a 45,000 square-foot waterpark and entertainment on every night for the kids/adults. The resort consists of four magnificent villages, boasting the architecture and ambiance of Italy, France, the Caribbean and Key West; a 12-mile beach lapped by clear turquoise waters; endless fun activities for everyone, from tots to tweens and teens, featuring Sesame Street® characters, the Xbox Play Lounge and a sizzlin’ teen disco, Liquid at Beaches-all located on one of the world’s best beaches.
Our first day we went on a 3.5hour boat ride to Iguana Island with island routes it was so much fun and the kids had a great time. We sailed on the crystal clear ocean, ended up on the Island exploring and found massive Iguanas roaming free it was the most incredible experience and place I’ve ever been. The trip had a bar on the boat, food, fab music and a water slide so both of us had a great morning.
Throughout our trip Fleur and I experienced 8 restaurants out of the 22 dining options at 19 international restaurants in a 4 night stay plus a Sesame street breakfast. We ate at; Kimonos Fleur’s favourite, Giuseppe’s and Mario’s for breakfast and lunch, had dinner at the beach BBQ, ate at Barefoot by the sea, Schooners seafood grill, Fleur was obsessed in shakes from Bobby Dee’s and we both loved the Jerk Shack and Arizona’s for lunch. So as you can imagine if you choose to come for 2-3 weeks there is endless options for both you and the kids.
Throughout out trip Fleur was a little sunburnt and I was a little dizzy both heat related and its such a weight off your mind when you travel with kids that they have an on resort clinic with nurse that is available to all guests.
There are few places with better dive sites than the Caribbean. In fact, some of the world’s most renowned reefs, walls and wrecks are found in these extraordinary waters. That’s why divers flock to this corner of the planet, and it’s why Beaches offers one of the most comprehensive scuba diving programs anywhere – and it’s all included! Yes can you believe that? This is what I love about Beaches everything is included; the accommodation, all food and drinks, the kids club, entertainment, the nurse, the watersports and then if you wish to indulge in optional extra activities you can plan a trip with Island Routes or head to the spa.
Not forgetting the fact that you can also have an incredible Caribbean wedding on the resort, this is why Beaches is so special as you and the hubby-to-be could both be pampered at the spa while the kids are in kids club in prep for your wedding and honeymoon as a family.
Their new performance/ theatrical team VOILÁ, a storytelling spectacle featuring art, theatre, acrobatics are truly spectacular, not only Fleur but myself and the other adults were totally engrossed. And I have to share a little secret, following the landmark television debut of Julia, a new Sesame Street character with autism, Beaches Resorts is proud to announce the walkaround character’s arrival to its resorts in Jamaica and Turks & Caicos beginning this autumn. The introduction of Julia will also bring forth an exciting new activity, Amazing Art with Julia, teaching children how to express themselves through art. Julia’s debut continues Beaches Resorts’ partnership with Sesame Workshop, the non-profit educational organisation behind Sesame Street, and expands the resort company’s exclusive Beaches Resorts Caribbean Adventure with Sesame Street® programme, now in its 13th year of partnership.
Wow is all I can say to such an incredible place, trip and stay. I didn’t want to leave and neither did Fleur but we will be going back very soon.
