Steal Olivia Palermo’s Wedding Style
Steal Olivia Palermo’s wedding style with these fab, fresh designs straight off the catwalk!
There has been a plethora of super stylish celebrity weddings this year, but for every true fashion girl Olivia Palermo’s nuptials were the highlight of the wedding season calendar. And boy did she not disappoint! Palermo who always steps out looking effortlessly polished was the modern and timeless bride the fashion world knew she would be. Her bride style was casual, modern and innovative but as always perfectly chic. Palermo wore shorts, a tulle and lace skirt and a cashmere jumper giving a whole new take on bridal separates.
Olivia Palermo’s bridal ensemble has inspired an edgier and more casual luxury in the bridal collections for A/W 2015 including those of Delphine Manivet, Theia, Houghton, Reem Acra and Pronovias making it easier for all fashion girl brides-to-be to emulate the style icons look.
Houghton’s classic t-shirts and cashmere turtle necks over billowing layers of embellished tulle and tailored trousers are not for the faint hearted. The simplistic shapes are a far cry from traditional wedding dresses but they are perfect for the daring, carefree bride.
Pronovias’ Carmit silk chiffon shirt and feathered A-line skirt ensemble is pure magic. With its floaty feminine tailoring this timeless sihouette is the perfect alternative to the traditional wedding dress.
Reem Acra presented a signature feminine collection with a modern twist. Crop tops and maxi skirts are a contempoary take on the traditional lace and satin creations. These dresses are future classics.
Delphine Manivet’s Collection called Pagan Bride, is modern in its simplicity. There are no embellishments in this collection which is so refreshing, the fabrics and silhouettes speak for themselves and speak they do. The collection of separates includes cloud like woolen sweaters over tailored trousers, swinging crop tops over billowing lace skirts and otherwise average crop tops and maxi skirts romanticised by airy lace overlays. This collection is modern day back to nature.
Monique Lhuillier’s chantilly lace two-piece is contemporary understated romance. The intricacy of the lace is balanced by the clean lines of the top and skirt. Its current and classic and thats every brides dream, right?
The Theia A/W 2015 collection is inspired by Mongolia’s frozen Tundra and boasts the most exquisite fabrics, Hand-woven ribbon tweed, cashmere, Venice winter lace, fil coupe jacquards and curly lamb wraps. The whole collection is enviable, as a whole its my favorite by far. With this collection Theia pushes the boundaries of bridal wear with an eclectic mix of fabrics and modern silhouettes. Crystal embellished cashmere sweaters and Venetian lace jumpsuits are stand out pieces from the collection which is bound to be a favorite among fashion girls, trend setters and classic girls alike.
So there you go ladies your guide to stealing Olivia Palermo’s wedding style.
